Gatorland Gatorland updates

Notes from my last vist

Orinoco crocs are where the cuban crocs used to be. Cuban crocs are over by the capybaras, in a patch of the main lake across the path from the petting zoo.

I think they have one male and one female Orinoco croc. No idea if they plan to breed, but they do work with conservation teams for this species.

Jawline, the rescue gator, is on display in the baby gator marsh

Black, white thoated, and lance monitor lizards are on display by the salt water crocodiles

They're raccoon is not in the habitat anymore. Possibly passed away

Great information,thanks!

I saw on there tictok that they have acquired a Geoffrey's Cat(1.0). It does not appear to be on display anywhere as in the video, keepers were interacting with him in a back area.

They've had one for a while now, but I don't know if it's ever been on exhibit (as tends to be the case with Geoffroy's).

Was their an explanation why? The reptarium has been REALLY big into having her and have a new enclosure prepared for her at the new building.
they said that Pepper was getting aggressive with Salt, but imo after seeing the new enclosure in a recent video on Brian's now Lori's vlog channel, I don't think it could house 2 adult alligators anyways. The Reptarium's main thing is interaction and they can't do that with Pepper as she's a more defensive animal. I guess they also decided to not keep her with RJ in the basement either due to her being territorial.

Gatorland wants to try and breed her eventually as melanistic alligators are rare, the vlog said they may get a baby melanistic back from Gatorland if they have success.
