I'm not a coat!!!!!!:p;):eek::D

Male and 17 years old.

Not trying trying to sound nosey but I wonder how old MARK is? I wonder weather he's one of the oldest members on Zoo Chat.

This has certainly been an intriguing read!

I'm 24 and female, I was offered my keeping job here when I was just 22.

If it's of any consolation to those wondering about the heavy grafting abilities of women in keeping. I assure you if the caimen need wrangling from their pond (a very awkward and hard on the back task) it'll be me doing it in a team of three men, three women ;)
But that's more because I've got the longest arms, was a shotputter haha and don't (yet) have any form of back injury or complaint! :p :rolleyes:

@JerseyLotte: I don't know a single keeper worth his/her salt who doesn't have bad knees, bad back, scars, and assorted other complaints! Give yourself a few years and you'll become a member of the club! None of us plan to get hurt but sometimes common sense takes a back seat to what needs to happen for the animal. When the male kangaroo is pursuing the lame female kangaroo the humans are the ones who get the scratch. It does, however, make for a good conversation starter when folks as what happened to your arm!

Without sounding impudent!

I've been working with herps for 10 years, I have plenty of complaints to prove I'm worth my salt, scars aplenty and my favourite obscure woe, stress related TMJ syndrome and 18 months of chronic headaches...

I only said my back was in good condition! :D :rolleyes:
