I just saw a YouTube video that said Kyoto City Zoo announced Gentaro and Annie would be moving to the Ueno Zoo and matched as a breeding pair. This is wonderful news for all involved. The move is to take place in late October.
The video description also mentions moving Momotaro’s younger sister, Momoka, to the Chiba City Zoo to be matched with Monta for another breeding pair. Another bit of great news.
Japan has done a wonderful job with these matches. There is still Shabani’s son, Kiyomassa, that is a perfect candidate for another breeding pair. I don’t know how many suitable females Japan has available for him but he is a fantastic young Silverback.
