Hello and Welcome to my Encyclopedia of Zoo Animals that i have Seen.
I will do it with the following Set Up.

Domestics
Intervertebrates
Fishes
Amphibians
Reptiles
Birds
Mammals

Each Animal Species will get a Photo of the Species and a Picture of the best Enclosure i have Seen for this Species. Aswell as the Photos there is a small Text about the Species.

Domestics

1. Albino Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus spec)

Unfortunatly there are no Photos on the Zoochat Gallery


How Common in Zoos: rare
Can be Mixed with: several small Freshwater Fishes
Species Seen at: Tierpark Gaxhardt

This is a colour Morph of the Bristlenose Pleco. They are Common in Pet Stores but are rare to find in Zoos.

Can be Mixed with: several small Freshwater Fishes

This is a colour Morph of the Bristlenose Pleco. They are Common in Pet Stores but are rare to find in Zoos.

This isn't really a domestic, just a bred color morph.

2. Freshwater Angelfish Breeding Form (Pterophyllum scalare)

How Common in Zoos: Common

Can be Mixed with: several small Freshwater Fishes
Species Seen at: Insel Mainau Butterflyhouse

There are several different colour morphs of the Freshwater Angelfish. They are one of the Most famous Pet Fish and are often found in Zoos and Aquariums.

How Common in Zoos: very common

Koi Carps are one of the few fish that can be held in Outdoor Ponds and Gardens. They are Common even in smaller Zoos and Aquariums.

Koi Carps are one of the few fish that can be held in Outdoor Ponds and Gardens. They are Common even in smaller Zoos and Aquariums.

I just added a photo showing the pond in which this koi lives, although it is a broader environmental photo.

The pond isn't really anything special, a concrete pond lined with plants in some areas and with water lilies during the warmer months. It houses a number of koi of different colors.

How Common in Zoos: very common
Can be Mixed with: Other Freshwater Fish
Species Seen at: Insel Mainau, SEA Life Konstanz, Wilhelma Zoo, Ulm Zoo


Mirror Carps can often be seen in Ponds or Lakes. Some Zoos or Aquariums have different breeds of Carps like the Wilhelma Zoo.

The Zebra Finch is Not only a popular Pet Bird it is also a popular Bird at smaller Zoos. The Domestic Form is more Common than the Wild Form.
 
Not sure I understand what you’re trying to say, but either way, I’m sorry if I offended you @German Zoo World

My comment was in reference to Great Argus's post, not GZW's. I meant that Great Argus's post was justified given the original parameters given by GZW were Domestics and not Domestics and Breeding Forms. Never mind about it now, I can see you meant nothing by it, it just felt a bit unnecessary that's all :).

I did actually post an image of the aviary these budgies were in:

Walk-through aviary with pheasants, parakeets and a turaco, 2019-05-25 - ZooChat

They were kept in that walk-through aviary with other parakeet breeding forms, breeding form golden pheasants, an Australian king parrot and a turaco.

Species Seen at: Ludwigsburg Blühendes Barrock, Unterreith Wildpark


This is the most Common Breed of the Domestic Pigeon. They are mainly found in smaller Zoos and Birdparks.
