Giant otters in Europe

I will try and set up a Rewildling Argentina thread in the general threads for the country Argentina. Till date, I think now that at least 8-10 giant otters have been sent out here in the last few years (and they have already reproduced locally).
From Europe, five giant otters have so far been transferred to the Ibera project in Argentina. In a few weeks, two more otters will go there.

They are:
1.0 Coco
0.1 Alondra
1.0 Nanay
0.1 Arirahna
0.1 Nima

In 2021, Coco and Alondra had three young together:
1.0 Ipegua
1.0 Chiru
0.1 Yvera

Alondra has since died.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park's female born in 2023 is named Fia. Do South Lakes no longer hold female Tupi? Presumably she has died, however, cannot find anything to confirm this.

Thanks for the addition! I contacted South Lakes a while ago and they told me they only had Carlos left. Because of Tupi's advanced age (16 years), it is very likely that she has indeed died.
I have since got confirmation that Tupi indeed died in 2023.

A new giant otter has joined the existing male group at Zoo Duisburg. Male Lobo has joined Maldito and Guapo. The three animals were introduced to each other over several days, and are now well accustomed to each other and all live together. Zoo Duisburg thus provides the EEP with a place to keep animals for which there is currently no suitable partner. Should this change, one of the males will move to another zoo to form a new breeding pair. It is already clear that this will happen to Lobo in the future.

I enquired and Lobo came from Allwetterzoo Münster to Zoo Duisburg. So he could be one of the brothers from Zoo Lodz, but I'm not sure yet.

Yes, that's it.
Münster has received a new female AMÉRIE and she has chosen RIO between the 2 brothers,
so the second one moved to Duisburg.
Apparently the Allwetterzoo hasn't that sense of humor with KOVID & WIRUS and they changed the names given at Lodz… So now the question is: who is who?!

I already thought I had seen a new giant otter in Münster in photos (different markings). Looking at the markings on her throat and chest it should be one of the females born in Zoo Zlin in 2020, so either Dana or Jana.

After cubs were also born earlier this year, two giant otters were born again at Givskud Zoo on 31 December. Parents are Rio and Parana. For the keepers, the birth came as a surprise; the otters showed no signs that young were on the way. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the cubs survive the vulnerable period, which is why the otters are also left undisturbed as much as possible.

A giant otter was born at Budapest Zoo late last year. Parents of the pup, named Dakota, are Madidi and Cumana. Including Dakota, Budapest has six young giant otters. Some of them will move away soon. Manu (born in 2020), Lobo (born in 2021) and Maya (also born in 2021) will move to zoos in the UK, the Netherlands and Colombia.

Both are males.

Visitors spotted at least one young giant otter at Zoo Zlín. The zoo itself has not yet communicated anything about cubs.

Will any of these go to South Lakes? Do Chester only hold one giant otter now?
Chester has indeed only female Tibiri left.

I don't know where the otters from Budapest will go. Manu and Lobo are both males, so it is possible that one of them will go to Chester, for instance.
