I was trying to remember the species present on the Bronx Zoo Wild Asia monorail tour and found this video on Youtube. The monorail guide, Luke, is excellent and the video production is very good with pictures of the species described helpfully inserted. If you've ever wondered what this exhibit is like or wanted a memory refresher, this is a good presentation of it.

I find this exhibit both impressive and sad in that the exhibits look great 35+ years after their opening and still seem to be good homes for the residents, but it seems sad that rather than finding a viable way to make the elephant exhibit modern-sized and more accessible to visitors, that they will be ending the exhibit when the elephants pass. In these cloudy economic times it is understandable I suppose that a new elephant exhibit wouldn't be a priority, but this is one of the most culturally important species to people and this is one of the best zoos on the planet.

Another negative is that the monorail moves so fast, and you barely get any good photos.
