To be honest I don't know what all the fuss was about. Media and people making a big deal over nothing instead of seeing the humour in it. I don't think Andy and Hamish should have apologised.
 
im looking at the video now and it shows the new gorilla exhibit, is that temp fencing at the back or the permanant fencing? it looks like temp fencing and i hope it is because it looks terrible.

When asked to comment on Hinch moving from his native New Zealand to Australia, the then Kiwi Prime Minister [the late Sir Robert Muldoon] replied that the move would raise the collective IQs of both countries. Ouch!!

I cant believe those visitors who thought that they were real gorillas, didn't they realise there was temporary fencing around the exhibit or is that not the case?

good to know that the ugly fencing is only temp. The presentation is on channel 10, on Sunday at 7:30 I reckon it's gonna be pretty funny to watch.

you would think the family would notice they were fake when the "gorillas" started downing beers.
 
Does anyone know when this is due to be completed and the(real) male Gorillas moved in?

As can be seen from the recent Facebook pictures, this exhibit won't be finished for a while so now I might estimate completion in July with the gorillas moving in August.
 
According to Zoos Victoria's Facebook page, the gorillas won't be moving into the new exhibit until October.
 
I was at Werribee this last weekend, and the exhibit seems to be coming on well. It will be an impressive first exhibit as people enter the zoo.
