- This little-known South Dakota zoo celebrated the birth of 3 red wolf pups earlier this year.

It is great to see a once struggling facility get back on its feet, and I visited and reviewed Great Plains Zoo about 6 months ago. Having a troop of 25 Japanese Macaques directly inside the entrance will be the highlight of the establishment as primates are arguably the most popular creatures that a zoo can display.
