Yes I did. The zoo has asked for more females to be brought in but they have to wait until more females become available... part of it might have been the zoo waiting for Kiko to be selected. We have been waiting for a new breeding male since our previous one Stripes died in 2013. Our other adult female died in Jan 2014. Both were older animals. Twiga thankfully had Mstari not long after Stripes passing so she wasn't alone but we have been waiting for our new guy a long time. The zoo's biggest problem is that it currently isn't AZA accredited... long story, don't ask... so when the two previous recommendations were made for males their home zoo's rejected it. Thankfully Greenville and Franklin Park were willing to make the trade. Hopefully by the time he and Mstari are ready to breed we can bring in more females for him. The zoo can house 6-8 giraffes so its possible he will have two more mates.
