Merry Christmas from Austin TX! I have been looking at posts and threads here on Zoochat for nearly a couple years. My mom decided it would be good for me to have an account as animals and zoos (esp. elephants) are one of my specialized interests with my high functioning autism. So I am very new to actually being a member but I love the stuff put out onto here :)

I have visited the San Antonio, Houston and Waco zoos a lot when I was a kid when it comes to accredited facilities. I do strongly hope Austin gets an AZA-Accredited zoo in the future with all the population and business boom. I did used to go to their zoolike sanctuary in the hill country on a weekly basis during my childhood.
