Guadalupe Caracara

Somewhere on the Forum we already had a discusion about this, can't find it however :(.
In any case San Diego Zoo had it.
 
thank you but didn't the Guadalupe caracara supposedly become extinct in 1906 and the San Diego zoo did not open until around 1914. Or am I missing any key details
 
nowhere in that article does it say that Guadelupe caracaras were kept at the San Diego Zoo....
 
I checked the article again and you are right Chlidonias ! I must have mixes up that live birds were kept at San Diego and the several mentioned San Diego Zoological Society :( Sorry.....
 
where you went wrong was confusing the San Diego Society of Natural History with the San Diego Zoological Society. The Zoological Society is not mentioned in the article. The Society of Natural History is what became the San Diego Natural History Museum.
