Guenons in UK Collections

I decided to try the ISIS offer to supply details of holdings of named species . I asked for Diana monkey , De Brazza'a monkey and L'Hoest's monkey . About 3 weeks after sending the request I got a reply . The lists are much as the old accessible site but without records of recent births .

A total of 110 Diana monkeys are to be found in 33 collections , 78 of these being in 23 European collections . In the UK we have ( assuming all is correct ) -
Belfast 0.1
Edinburgh 1.1
London RP 1.2
Lympne 1.2
Paignton 1.2
Twycross 1.3

A total of 257 De Brazza's monkey are found in 71 collections , 131 in 30 European collections . In the UK -
Howletts 1.3.2
Blackpool 1.3
Lympne 2.5
Twycross 2.2

A total of 55 L'Hoest's monkey are found in 14 collections , all but 6 ( in Johannesburg) being in Europe . In the UK -
Blackpool 1.1
Colchester 1.3
Edinburgh 1.3
Twycross 1.1

Good idea.:)

The pair of 'rescue' De Brazza's at Porfells in Cornwall seem not to be included.

Dianas still seem to be dwindling. Both Edinburgh and Port Lympne now have no more than the other UK holders, whereas they used to do.

I thought Colchester had more L'Hoest's than the above total- maybe some were redistributed or went to Europe.

Either that or the data they are giving out is still the old statistics from some years ago?

Dianas aren't listed for Newquay or Exmoor here, so its not too old- we've been told Exmoor's went to Europe early in 2013.

I assume Porfell is not an ISIS member , thus no listing of their De Brazza monkeys .

I've amended 'overlooked' in my above post to 'not included' as very likely you are correct.;)
