Guess the movie

I can't open up the attachments so based only on the thumbnails, the second is Diehard and the third is True Lies. The last one looks familiar, the first one I've got no idea.

2nd and 3rd are correct. I'm sure almost everyone knows these episodes.
 
the first one is Aliens (that's Bishop crawling through the pipe).

I don't know the fourth one but I would guess at Ghostbusters 2.

I think Hix would be the winner because he got two of them.

There doesn't seem much interest in reviving this thread does there?

Good shout. The third one is an easy film but an awkward photo. It's also the biggest clue to the link between them. I think possibly the figure in the foreground gives it away, though.

The directors of all those movies are nominated for Best Director at this year's Academy Awards: Adam McKay (Anchorman) for The Big Short, Lenny Abrahamson (Frank) for Room, Alejandro Inarritu (Birdman) for The Revenant, and George Miller (Babe) for Mad Max: Fury Road. They're also all up for Best Picture.

I guess it's nanoboy's turn, since he got the most right.
