damn, that was it: paddlefish!! I would swoop in and name all the animals for a win, but I'll let someone else try.

(I am almost certain I know what they all are, and I think I can say that 4 and 5 still haven't been guessed correctly yet)

hey, is this the first time you've posted in this thread Ituri?
 
It's certainly looking that way - the Force is strong in this one...

But there's still that final finish line to be crossed... ;)
 
5. Really has me vexed. It looks the part of a primate, but I can't put my finger on the right one (not even the right family).

2) Saudi Arabian Rock Hyrax
3) Leopard Shark
4) Yellow-throated Marten
5) Black Lemur
 
#5 is not reddish enough for a brown lemur I think. You've got a tough one there, Mr. Maguari.
 
They have now all been guessed correctly!

1 - Red-and-Yellow Barbet - London Zoo - Ituri
2 - Cape Rock Hyrax - Chester Zoo - Moebelle
3 - American Paddlefish - Bristol Zoo - Ituri
4 - Masked Palm Civet - Hanoi Zoo - Ituri
5 - Black Lemur (female with youngster) - Lisbon Zoo - genus correct from Ituri, species correct from Evil Kittie

I've attached a slightly better shot of the lemurs that confused everyone so! I never did manage a good one.

I think the winner that round has to be Ituri, with 3.5 out of 5!

Ah, I win with a mere 70%, darn, I should have gone with my gut instead of waffling! I'll have mine up later today.
