Ding ding ding, we have a winner :)

Said it was very easy. Such a shame we may only see Zebra plecs in captivity after the Brazilian goverment ruin the river they live in.

some real easy ones. Once again, specific answers required.

1 - Lesser Kudu
2 - Some kind of dove?
3 - Kiwi?
4 - Some kind of bird of prey?

3 - Kiwi?
4 - Not a passerine xD

I'm really bad when it comes to birds, so I'll just choose 2 that I'm kind of confident in.
1. Greater Kudu
2. Southern Brown Kiwi

DARN! BeardsleyZooFan beat me by 2 hours. It is definitely a greater kudu, not a lesser kudu. Male greater kudus have that distinctive white crest on their shoulder hump. :p

1. Greater Kudu
2. Mind giving us a hint? :o
3. Southern Brown Kiwi
4. Either a Purple Swamphen or South Island Takahe

the total guesses are still exactly the same: one correct and one almost there. I won't say who has anything yet.

to get things moving again:
1) nobody's got it
2) nobody's got it
3) several very close guesses
4) takahe is correct

results so far:

1) nyala, guessed by kiang
2) still un-guessed
3) North Island brown kiwi, guessed by AnaheimZoo
4) takahe, guessed by nanoboy

no sorry not a female king bird of paradise. You are in the right (very broad) geographical area though [i.e. south-western Pacific sort of area]
