Are you sure about the two hints?

as far as I know, out of all the flightless birds (ostrich, emu, rheas, cassowaries, kiwi, kakapo, galagapos cormorant, steamer ducks, 2 species of teal, 2 species of grebe, different kinds of rail/crake and all penguins) only the emu and kiwi are national birds.

Since we've had quite a lot of birds in this thread i thought we might test the abilities of the reptile enthusiasts.

Very good so far!...1,2 and 4 correct! Not quite right on the other two - just a hint - they are both Asian species.

Would 3 be a Philippine Sailfin Lizard?

The last one is hard. To me all Crocodilian heads looks about the same. I will go with my gut and say Philippine Crocodile.

New Caledonia isn't a country though, but I'll forgive you for that.
if you want to be technical I will quote Countries - Pacific - New Caledonia - Information Paper - NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as below:
Political system: The 1998 Nouméa Accord defined New Caledonia as an “Overseas Country” of France. Since 1999, New Caledonia has had enhanced self-governing status within the French Constitution. The terms “collectivité territoriale” (territorial collectivity) or “collectivité française du Pacifique” (French Pacific collectivity) are accepted.

You're right on number 3 but not the last one. If you've been to Singapore zoo you will have seen it.

Another hint - there's a good reason why Pacarana thinks it's a slender-snouted crocodile.
