Although the crop looks a little like the eye of a triggerfish-type fish swimming against a rock/coral backdrop.

You got 1, and 5. Still not specific enough on 3.

Northern Helmeted Curassow is a full species (Pauxi pauxi); Southern is a separate species (Pauxi unicornis) - so I would say the 'Northern' was very much needed.

The Bronx Zoo's signage just said Helmeted Curassow, so... I don't think there was any way of knowing. Wait a minute...

Just checked the picture! It was, indeed, Pauxi pauxi, so Moebelle was right.
