GW Exotic Animal Park (Closed) GW Animal Park Discussion

If she’ll runs that zoo like BCR its going to be a bad ride.
I mean, the zoo's already ****.

But will there even be a zoo to run? The only clear thing from this article is that she is getting the property - is there going to be any business or animals left in 120 days' time? Supposedly Lowe was already planning to move his zoo operations to another location with another name, so is this just moving up the deadline for that to happen?

Transferring big cats is already a lengthy and dangerous job without a pandemic and with dozens and hundreds of them on a single site. I don’t know how far along that new zoo is, but I remember his ambitions were very unrealistic, so I’m pretty sure they either won’t get the animals moved, or they’ll get most of them moved in time. That being said though, I honestly am not rooting for either side(Lowe and Baskin I mean).

Well... I did not see that coming...

I wonder where all those animals are going to go. Any updates of Jeff Lowes upcoming zoo behind "The World's Largest Casio" where I assume at least some of them will be placed?

There is no upcoming zoo. It's all BS from him. He keeps saying it's nearly ready to open, but there are almost no buildings there, no fenced areas for animals, there aren't even any roads to the place.

Lowe owns few animals at the GW zoo. Many of the big cats have already been sent to sanctuaries, sold, or have disappeared. There's less than half the number of cats they had just a couple of years ago.

The Louisburg facility (Cedar Cove Feline Conservation and Education Center) is operated by different people and I know their most senior staff hold the GW Exotics Park with disdain. I haven’t visited in several years, but I know they adhere to more responsible husbandry practices (e.g., practice protected contact with the large cats, separate animals while feeding, don’t breed animals, etc.) and seem committed to providing quality lives for their animals. They may have some animals from the GW park though.
