Handbook of the Reptiles of the World - Lynx Edicions

After many years without major zoological titles, Lynx Edicions (now Lynx Nature Books) seems to have started "cranking up" the engines again recently, finally deciding to touch one of the two remaining major terrestrial vertebrate groups without recent monographic works, namely reptiles.

Browsing through the pages of the 10th World Herpetology Congress site (currently down, but it could be accessed a few hours before writing this thread. Most probably, it will be restored soon) and particularly in the downloadable abstract book, someone can find the following advertising poster in the second page!

From first impression, the project seems very promising and the available illustrations [gharial and a Kinixys (?) tortoise] are definitely of very high standards! I am definitely looking forward for any news and a working project page in Lynx's site (the current QRC code just takes you to the main Lynx page)!

Thanks for the information. This could be huge news!

The first part of this handbook will be dedicated to crocodiles and turtles. There will be: 17 chapters dedicated to different families, more than 600 photographs (!!!) and more than 400 colour plates with illustrations, plus 384 distribution maps. Source: the email Lynx sent me on reptile awareness day.
