Yes, they did. I thought that was a mistaken decision as I consider Whipsnade very at for holding black rhino (or bring them cack on the Cassons).Saya died at Whipsnade in 2005. AFAIK Whipsnade gave up holding black rhinos after her death.

And during my visit I noticed that the cattle egrets are free flying and nesting in a tree next to the boad ride. So I wondered if those birds are in any way held back to fly away in any way.
