what is your distinction between swine and pig?Capybara is indeed flodsvin but - from my understanding - 'pig' is more commonly called 'gris' and 'svin' a term used for swine or pork (well pork is actually svinekjøtt which means pigs meat).
at the bottom right of each post is a little blue link that says "Reply" - you just hit that and the person's post will appear in the reply box at the bottom of the page, within two quote boxes. You type your repsonse after the second QUOTE](I don't know how to quote)

You can also just highlight a section of the person's post and a little tab saying +Quote/Reply will appear, and you hit the Reply part and then do as above.
There is no distinction between the animals (e.g. no difference in appearance or behavior), but what I am saying is that you would say 'svin' the way we say swine. Lots of people don't often say 'look at the swine,' instead, 'look at the pig' would be more common. This is the same in Norwegian (from what I have been taught). So you could say both I guess.what is your distinction between swine and pig?
The zoo is still in development to a larger collection?!Thanks
Haugaland zoo officially opened in 2010 and it only has 10 acres of land mass. The zoo has a tight budget but still manages to expand their animal collection. As I've mentioned earlier the zoo got capybaras, wild turkeys, marabou storks and eastern grey kangaroo this year. The zoo is not finished but no zoos are finished. They always change. The zoo is still in development to a larger collection?!
Nice new development with some sort of Amazonia!
The zoo is struggeling to keep their doors open, because of some kind of strange new requirements, for example that you have to have a zookeeper education to be allowed to feed the animals. The zoo’s problem now is that the vet has quited. They are required to hire a new vet with exotic animals experience by the end of the month. If not the government will shut down the zoo.
I don’t think they have yet. There are non in the area, and getting someone to move isn’t the easiest thing. Especially when it comes to such a small zoo with an uncertain futureThat sucks, especially when it's a country that doesn't have many zoos already, and - from a Zoochatter's point of view - when it's a zoo that seems to specialize in more unusual species.
Have they had any luck with finding a new vet since you posted?
