You make it sound like it was the only dholes (probably lost in translation).
It really is 2 young dholes from the pack. The breeding group remains intact.

I am just so glad that EAZA keeps on the breeding programme EEP. Incidentally, RZ de la Haute-Touch is species coördinator. Probably, a good intervention to bring out the female dholes out of San Diego and up to Granby. Added benefit is that Canadian zoos can import/export the species in and out.

I assume this may be a Transatlantic partnership to rescue the North American part of the population with European founder roots (thanks @TZFan). The dholes from SD-Zoo carried Howletts (sire) and Twycross (2 females) founder base.

Great news announced in a press release. The zoo has projects which will take shape late 2022/early 2023 :
- a group of guinea baboons from Paris will arrive. The island has already been done and the money was just missing for the building. From what I heard the group will be for bachelors. A great news as Paris has 3 groups for just one enclosure !
Some year after  : at the end of may the park welcome a bachelor group of 11 western baboons from Paris Zoological Park. The new group is housed on a 3.000 square meters new island near the large pond.
The park still has a breeding pair on another island.

Other news :
- arrival of 0,2 addax from Frankfurt and Nuremberg. They join 1,1 animals already at the park.
