Hi, all!
I totally missed this subforum about introductions and I had already jumped into the action in the other subforums! I'll briefly introduce myself -- I've always been in love with animals since young, reading through animal books and spending hours on Wikipedia and other websites reading about all sorts of animals.
I particularly like to focus more on the scientific classification of animals - taxonomy and phylogeny, though I do enjoy reading about the life cycle, diets, behaviour and adaptations of each animal as well. And I do enjoy writing fiction about animals, be it science fiction or adventures/thrillers with animals as the main focus.
My favourite group of animals definitely would be the cnidarians, because of their interesting life cycle and behaviour! Though, I do love lagomorphs and ungulates too.
Ironically, as much as I love animals, I always prefer to view them from behind a glass screen or from an elevated platform, and I am not a huge fan of handling them personally. That's why I don't own any pets and I don't really volunteer at animal shelters.
But! I love to visit the zoo and the aquarium to observe the animals and I could spend hours watching them and taking down notes, provided I was alone, because I'm pretty sure my friends/family would get bored
Anyhow! I think I have rambled on too much, oops. Thanks for reading this post and I'm super happy to join this community once again! Really does bring me back to my childhood days when I would post in video game web forums.
