I am living in Hong Kong at the moment and working as a dentist. Stumbled upon this website reading Chlidonia's trip reports. They are a great read.

Got interested in zoos again after visiting Toba Aquarium and being gobsmacked by seeing a Commerson's dolphin for the first time.

Thanks for maintaining this treasure trove of information all for free online.

Hi @Slyhk welcome to ZC,

Oh cool Hong Kong. With the animal places there have heard the zoo in the botanical gardens is a small zoo with Bornean Orangs, Monkeys, Jaguar, Small Mammals, Birds, Chinese Alligators etc, but the Ocean Park Marine Park has a substantial land mammal collection too like a pair of Giant Pandas?

Yes, the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens in Central has Orangs, Monkeys and some small mammals and a nice bird collection. The Jaguar isn't there anymore.
As for Ocean Park, I don't think it has that many land mammals. It does have Giant Pandas, Red Pandas, Golden snub nosed Monkey and sloths. There is a Chinese Alligator at Ocean Park (not sure if there is one at the HK Zoo and Botcanical gardens)
