Hello Zoochat!!!
I have been watching the website for a couple of years now, and have finally made an account!
I have always had a huge interest in animals and zoos, and hope to eventually start my own zoo. I have grown up visiting Taronga and Featherdale, among others, and have also been to several zoos and aquariums overseas, including Toronto, London, African Lion Safari and Vancouver Aquarium.
I currently volunteer at Taronga, where I have learnt that unfortunately, most people who work/volunteer there don’t know much about other zoos, and don’t even know much about animals.
This website has already been extremely helpful in growing my knowledge of zoos, and especially helping me learn about the exotics crisis we currently face in the Australasian region. I was inspired by members such as @WhistlingKite24 to join the site, and now hope to learn a lot more, and maybe even help others learn as well.
