Just an update. All of my Honey Gouramis have since passed away, and on December 28th I welcomed 2 Peacock Gudgeons into my 10g and 2 RCS into my 1.5g. One of the shrimp have died and my surviving one does this weird thing where it acts dead and comes alive again. It'll lay on its side and when I poke it with a net it stays dead for a minute until it comes back to life. Any ideas?
He passed through the night, so what I'll do is probably get 15 shrimp next time for better survival after I replant, and recycle the tank. I want to revamp the 1.5g. While I am saddened by their deaths, I am glad I wasn't too attached to them. From my experience with shrimp, it's either getting ready to molt or it probably won't be around long.![]()

They are around 1/2-1.6 inches, plus I am probably getting blue dream shrimp next time (they were more attractive to the eye) and will probably get 7-8 shrimp as my fear of seeing shrimp gather has been restored.Always a bummer losing something from the tank. You're working with Red Cherry Shrimp if I remember correctly? How big are they if you're housing 15 in a 1.5 gallon?

I get really freaked out seeing shrimp in those little clusters (seen in image) because it makes me think of ants (I have a fear of them, but I love them). What exactly do you mean here? Little confused.

I see those pictures a lot, and my fear is that if they breed a lot they'll break out (VERY UNLIKELY) but really that's just one of my odd nightmares...Ah, gotcha. My shrimp never did that, though they weren't really a species to do that I don't think.
Thank you for the advice! I know that I was going to stick on the smaller size, but I found a good deal of 25 RCS for $40 USD. Should I go for it (I have a 1.5g, I know it could be a problem)?Trust me dawg, just go for the larger number. Shrimp only ball up like that if you offer them a single, large feeding opportunity. Just stick to small shrimp pellets/flakes, or other small food items, then they won't cluster. Or if you HAVE to feed single, large food items, just plunk it in before you go to bed or leave for school. By the time you wake up/get home, it will either be consumed completely or the shrimp will be full and non-clumping.

Do someone here have Tateurndina ocellicauda or Killifish?
I have a small acquarium (35×35) and I wanted do renovate it
I'd include hiding places with a lot of plants (not only does it look pretty, it makes them feel safer). Let me know if you have any more questions.Do someone here have Tateurndina ocellicauda or Killifish?

They'll eat frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc. Frozen foods are nutritious for them, and they should be kept ~80 degrees, they'll thrive and breed. They are shy at first, but their personalities will grow after a while. I recommend you do some research, there's a lot of useful information out there. Are they easy to keep and breed?
What do they eat?
