Hello from Chester zoo and the North

Hi. I live just 20 minutes away from Chester zoo and I'm a full time member visiting weekly to stare at the elphants for hours on end. In the future I would like to do an internship at Chester with the elephants and look forward to my furture along side these colossal animals! If anyone is a keeper of these animals or knows anything about these creatures history I would loved to hear about it. Thank you!

Welcome to ZooChat. I have not been to Chester since 2008, but I was sorry to learn that Jangoli had left as I used to spend hours gazing at her and the other elephants at Flamingo Land.

There is a lot about the Chester herds history on the noticeboards around their enclosure, such as birth date and place, how they are related and who sired whom. What other kind of info are you after?

Karoocheeta I'm just after information on the inns and outs of elephant keeping as that is the path I have chosen.
