I am glad to introduce myself to the zoochat community. This is Dr. Naim Akhtar, working in the Central Zoo Authority as scientific officer. The Central Zoo Authority is statuary body of Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India and oversee functioning of zoos in India. There are about 175 zoos of different categories. In the Central Zoo Authority I am responsible for organizing trainings for the zoo personnel and supervising research activities.
This year I am planning to organize a training programme at Bhubaneshwar in collaboration with Nandankanan Zoological Park for the biologists working in Indian zoos. I would appreciate if you suggest me name of two foreign expert who can really contribute in the workshop and share their best experience with Indian Biologist. If they are selected, their travel, boarding & lodging expenditure would be born by the the organizers.
