Hi! I'm very new to the forum having only found it today and am delighted by everything I see.

I've adored animals since I was very young and throughout my life when asked what I wanted to be the answer always involved working with animals in one way or another. Zaboomafu and crocodile hunter were my life as a kid.

I've had the awesome opportunity to work with and train carriage horses since grade school and love the hobby dearly.

I'm currently a semester away from graduating with my bachelor's in natural resource science and management with a minor in captive wildlife from UW Stevens Point. I'm also currently working on a group project designing a herpitarium for one of my classes and currently voulenteer at the herpitology lab on campus as a caretaker.

I found the forum while looking for serious reviews on zoos and other captive wildlife facilities I've been concidering reaching out to as I near completion of my degree.

I particularly have a fondness for extremely uncommonly known animals such as hoatzin, vaquita, tenric, tuatara and kakapo. I'd love to hear your favorites and any cool facts about them! Also if you know of a particularly cool or innovative zoo I'd love to add it to my list of ones I must visit.

Welcome! I <3 carriage horses, especially when they're draft breeds.

Have you visited Wildwood Wildlife Park yet, to see their grison? There's only 3 zoos with them in the US, they're such cool mustelids.

Ooo not yet definitely on the list.
My personal horses are miniature but I've worked with a few draft.

I've visited shalom recently. Milwaukee is my home zoo (and discovery worlds aquarium) and frequently visit she'd aquarium.
In the past I've been to St Louis zoo, Chicagos zoo, Henry vilas (on my re visit list)

My current to visit list includes Philadelphia zoo 360, LA zoo and botanical garden, NEW zoo, Miami Seaquarium, and a return visit to Henry vilas and St Louis.

My captive wildlife class is giving us the chance to visit the international crane foundation this year too.

You should get to Omaha. Best zoo in the Midwest by far.
