(Thank you, mstickmanp, for suggesting that I join ZooChat. - I'm sorry I incorrectly identified your username earlier!)

I am looking forward to reading what everyone has to say about zoos, and participating in some of the discussions, too. I am especially interested in the debate over whether or not elephants should be exhibited in zoos. (I think they should be in all zoos, especially all the well-known, larger ones.)

I love all zoos. But as a child, the National Zoo in Washington, DC was my favorite zoo for many years.

And, since 1969, the Philadelphia Zoo has been my all time, number one favorite.

If you look at some of YouTube videos (http://www.YouTube.com/ZooVisitorMM), you can see what I love about this very special zoo.

(It's the number and variety animals, the loving care the animals receive from a dedicated, knowledgeable staff, and the overall beauty and tranquility of the Zoo.)
