Hi all! Discovered this forum a while ago and decided to join as seems to be really interesting. Not sure how much I'll contribute but we'll see. I'm very passionate about the whole animal kingdom but my special interests are birds (in particular waders/shorebirds hence the name) and fishes. I also enjoy photographing and drawing/painting animals, mainly birds. I grew up visiting Chester Zoo a lot and it was a big part of me getting my interest in animals but now I mainly watch wildlife in the Hampshire area though I'd like visit of the zoos around here more too

Looking forwards to meeting all of the fellow animal enthusiasts on here!
 
Thank you. I hope I haven't bigged up the photography thing too much! I mean I'm OK but I'm certainly not professional standard! I prefer photos which show unusual species or behaviour to taking 'artistic' photographs if that makes sense

No worries! I just like to look at the pictures taken by other zoochatters that's all ;)
