Hi,
My name is Daniel and I’ve lurked on this site since lockdowns initiated to fuel my travel-related daydreams. The children’s show “Zoboomafoo” instilled an early love of animals in me - especially for lemurs. I also have a deep appreciation for mustelids thanks to having the Vancouver Aquarium and Greater Vancouver Zoo as my home facilities. Nothing beats frolicking otters for an afternoon’s entertainment! A charging badger somehow finds a way to ramp my heart rate up faster than the resident male lion ever has. This love has translated to my academic path, which focuses on ecology and the human-animal relationship. As a pet owner and pre-COVID aquarist, enrichment also fascinates me.
I enjoy hiking, reading anything I can get my hands on, and sitting with my face pressed against the glass of an aquarium. Simple pleasures!
