Good evening all! I just stumbled across this amazing forum and figured I'd jump headfirst into the fun.

A little bit about me-

Name: Talathel (on here)
Nicknames: Tals, Tala, Thel, or Jade
Pronouns: She/Her
Career Interest/Aspirations: Wildlife Conservationist/Wild Cat and Carnivore Conservationist
Degree: BSc in Biology (Though I also have credits in Zoology, Ecology, and Marine Conservation Biology)
Favorite Animal: Cheetahs and Leopards (any wild cat really - any of the 40, haha)
Pets: I have a lovely kitty with me currently - but add in the roommates, and back in my hometown, I have 6 cats, 4 dogs, a flock of chickens, and a rabbit. I have done 4-H with chickens and my Netherland Dwarf when I had her.

I have a lot of hobbies, including hiking, wildlife photography, reading, singing, and dancing (ballet dancer), and I absolutely adore traveling abroad. I enjoy learning all about conservation from other countries and just being immersed in another amazing place. I have volunteered in Kathmandu, Nepal, Interned in South Africa (Wildlife Conservation Internship), and will be venturing abroad again in 2025 (Madagascar this time). I am trying to find a field assistant/research technician job at the moment so I can finesse and gain skills in the field.

Thank you for the welcome! I just completed my e-learning for chemical immobilization of animals as a fun little fact!

Welcome to Zoochat Talathel!

I sincerely hope you can add your experiences and perspectives on zoos in your area as well as give some more insight into wildlife conservation topics in general!
