Help needed - Fish tank plant related

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of any pet shops in Cheshire that sell live(i.e with roots) plants for fish tanks? I am looking for fresh water plants not tropical. Can anyone help? Just I am fed up of floating plants now lol.

I usually buy cuttings from eBay for aquarium plants. They'll usually put out roots in a few days and are much cheaper than buying individual plants in a shop. Delivery's absurdly quick too.

If you've got a very coarse substrate (pea gravel or suchlike) you'd probably be better with potted plants though. Zoogiraffe should be able to help with a shop name. ;)

I think Pets at Home in Northwich have them, as well as the Garden Centre in Winnington (the name of which escapes me, but I think they are owned by a company called Strikes)

The obvious one in South Cheshire (Nantwich) is Stapeley Water Gardens. Then out towards the Wirral in the north west is Water World (you have to visit to see their plant collection).

There are a number of invasive aquatic plants that are now a serious problem. Before introducing anything to an outdoor pond or tank, I suggest reading the leaflet from Plantlife: Pond Alert! Problem Pond Plants

@ Maguari I could but none would be of any use due to my location!!

Request was for pet shops in Cheshire. You're in Cheshire, aintcha? :D

The Water World link is useful since there's some epic pond-building looming in my immediate future! Thanks, SMR.
