Help with a Personal Collection

Hi there.

I have been looking around at other people's desired personal collections, and I was thinking of submitting my own, so that hopefully someone on this forum can tell me any useful tips or point me in the right direction of both acquiring and caring for these species.

My current collection is:
2:0 Carolina green anole Anolis carolinensis
1:0 Asiatic long-tailed lizard Takydromus sexlineatus
1:0 Neon blue-tailed tree lizard Holaspis guentheri
2:3 Strawberry ground beetles Pterostichus madidus

I now am displaying an interest in keeping some of the following, some quite soon and others once I have left home:
1:1 Spiny-tailed goanna Varanus acanthurus
1:1 Cuban stream anole Anolis vermiculatus
1:0 Giant amphisbaena Amphisbaena alba
1:1 Bismarck ringed python Bothrochilus boa
0:1 American green tree frog Hyla cinerea
1:1 Blue-and-black poison-arrow frog Dendrobates auratus
1:1 Kaiser's spotted newt Neurergus kaiseri
1:0 Terrestrial caecilian Ichthyophis sp.
0:0:6 Red coral pencilfish Nannostomus mortenthaleri
1:1 Japanese harlequin tiger beetle Cicindela japonica
0:0:3 Indian giant red velvet mite Trombidium grandissimum

Absolutely ANY advice is much appreciated on the care of any of these species. Thanks in advance.

The antlions will have to be wild caught.Look for dimples in sandy soil.Then you have to dig them out.I had 5 before.They change into a fly.

Thanks for the reply! I know that there is a company over in the States that sells antlions, and I think they also do exports too. I'll see if I can find out more on their website.

Note: I have just checked, and there is indeed a website, called Antlion Den that does exports in American ant lions that are kept in small pots of sand called Zen Gardens. Unfortunately, because they are American, the adults won't be able to be released.

Oh I forgot to look where you are from.Exporting will be VERY expensive to ship over seas just for a bug.However the collection sounds amazing.I would pay to see it

Varanus acanthurus are very neat and are a great exhibit animal. Definitely don't like being held at least the ones that I have seen.

As LizardInsanity says getting bugs from different countries that are small could be a difficult challenge but if you know of anyone that supplies them, go for it!
