Help with material for Documentary and Book about Swedish Zoo founder. Sigvard Berggren.

Hi everybody, this is my first post here on this website. I choose this thread as the most people seem to visit this one. I am currently co writing a book. About Sigvard Berggren who founded the Boras Zoo here in sweden. Im writing it with his widow Eva Berggren. There is also a documentary being made by a oscar nominated documentary director.

Im helping to look for some material for the documentary, but also things that might help the book. We have ofcourse material to go on from what Eva have in her possession. But if any of you out there have home videos, or pictures or some material to share from the zoo during the 1960s. Is what we are looking for, it can ofcourse be from 70-80-90s as well. But mostly looking for material from the 1960s. If it something that would be used in the book or documentary we would ofcourse make sure that you who would let us use that material have agreed to let us use it.

Hi Sebastian,
I am not in a position to help sadly, but I am very interested in the Documentary and book about Sigvard Berggren. I love Boros zoo and always been fascinated by it's history. Love the "Berggren's Beasts" book.

The former ZooChat member @Dan had a lot of information and archive about Boros zoo, but they are no longer active here, I am afraid. You can find some archive pictures in the gallery, if you already haven't. I advice you to read the comments under the photos as well.

In addition they are few articles in the International Zoo Yearbook dedicated to Boros unique animal husbandry, that you can search for.
