Apparently they believe the cause of death may have been from the stress of being trapped in the fence causing breathing and heart issues. The article also explains why an electric shock couldn’t have caused the death.

The male impala are in mixed species exhibit with zebra and elephant. The female impala are in mixed species exhibit with giraffes and ostrich. White rhino were planned to be in the mixed species exhibit but the yard remains divided.
