I'm glad to see the new exhibit is complete, although the footage only shows silvery langur and binturong habitats, so it looks like the spectacled langurs may have left the collection. The 'African-Asian Mammal Interpretive Center' title also seems odd for an exhibit that looks to only contain two Asian species, and I noticed it was referred to in one offiical comment as a 'primate center'.

It does look like it matches the style of the existing zoo buildings while also being closer in style to the newer Spider Monkey habitat than the older cages, and while the indoor exhibits lack naturalistic murals, the plants look more naturalistic.

I look forward to visiting next year and checking it out.
 
DUFFY the Two-toed Sloth has passed away at the age of 26.
Henson Robinson Zoo on Instagram: "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of longtime zoo resident “Duffy” the two-toed sloth. Duffy was 26 years old at the time of her passing, well exceeding the median life expectancy for two-toed sloths in human care which is around 16 years. Duffy passed peacefully with her longtime caretakers and veterinarian by her side due to complications from cancer. Duffy arrived at the zoo in 2001, and her longevity speaks volumes to the love and dedication of her care team. Since Duffy’s passing, the zoo has welcomed a young male two-toed sloth named “Lorenzo.” Lorenzo is a very sweet shy boy who loves munching on romaine and leaving nose prints on the sloth habitat windows. Although Duffy can never be replaced, Lorenzo has brought hope and happiness to the zoo after a period of great sadness. Please join us in celebrating Duffy’s incredible life, and in welcoming Lorenzo to the Henson Robinson Zoo."
 
On April 16th, the zoo announced they acquired a group of poison dart frogs from 6 various unspecified species, which are on exhibit.

On July 2nd, the zoo announced they acquired 6 blue-tongued skinks from US Fish & Wildlife after they were confiscated from the Port of Miami, Florida as a much bigger raid.
