Here's looking at you, kid - Photo Competition

But I haven't submitted this photo on zoochat so I don't see how it's not fair. Although it may have won a competition else where, it doesn't mean people here will think it's the best photo of the bunch.

I am going to sound like a broken record here, but I don't care. I have said it on other competitions and I will say it again. (If there are a slew of repsonses saying no one else minds this and I am "daff" as the Brits would say, then I will drop it). But in my opinion it is a major inconvenience when people post their entries as a link to another site (such as Flickr or even elsewhere on ZooChat). I think all photo competitions should require the image to be an attached thumbnail right on the thread. Just my two cents worth.

I was only joking blospz :) Of course it is perfectly fine. It seems humor often fails over the internet.

I agree with your comment to some extent, however, I did not want to deter forumites from entering the competition by having too many rules.

I don't mind the external weblinks though, because I quite enjoy looking at the other photos in the portfolio. Maybe a good compromise would be to ask forumites to attach their entry as a thumbnail AND include a link to their external portfolios if they so desire.

So, what pic are you submitting to the competition? :D

Well I resisted chimps and tigers (very stary animals) and went with a giraffe at Africa Alive.

Hippo in Dublin Zoo

Oh man! I uploaded this one to the Dublin Zoo Gallery two days ago and now I' ve noticed this competition... Does it still count? :)

Well, I don´t know, if it´s fair or not, but think it´s the best picture so far... The green is sooo green :-)

Stefka, yes the closing date is next week, so you're ok.

All the pics submitted are amazing. I hope more people keep entering.
