Hi there fellow animal enthusiasts!
My name is Tracey, and I'm a zoo junkie... *grin*
I currently (and basically for the past year or so) visit 3 Sydney based zoos - Taronga, Symbio, and Featherdale - taking photos of the animals, generally ingratiating myself with keepers, etc... you know the drill...
As I also have to work full time in order to pay bills and feed my 4 dogs, my zoo visits are limited to the weekends - Saturday is Symbio day, and I alternate Sundays between Taronga and Featherdale. Each place has something different to offer, and different animals to get to know and take nice photos of.
Since starting to be a regular visitor to "my" zoos, I've gotten to know and become friends with some of the keepers - and this has made my visits even better... getting to know the individual animals in each zoo has been a challenging but an amazing experience - and it has really helped me to be able to take better photos of all of the animals.
Anyways - looking forward to chatting with you all and learning more about the animals (and some other zoos/parks that I may like to visit one day...
If anyone is interested in seeing my zoo photos, you can see them here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/tdierikx
Cheers,
Tracey D
