Hi all,
I've posted a couple times in Aussie & NZ threads, but thought I'd introduce myself.
My name's Angela, and whilst I am not currently a ZooKeeper, I do love Zoo's, and hope to get back into it in the future.
I've previously worked as a Vet Nurse for 3 years in a predominately small animal practice, but we also dealt with all the Underwater World animals (except the seals). I also volunteered at Australia Zoo for 10 months (6 of these months overlapped when I started Vet Nursing) as a Zookeeper.
I now live in Victoria, and am studying an animal related TAFE course online, in my own time, whilst looking after my 13 month old daughter. It's not easy, but I manage.
Hopefully you experienced Keepers will teach me a thing or 2!
