Hi everybody,

I have been reading the forum since years ago, but I never had decided to join, until today.

I live on a small village in Northeast Spain, and the closer zoo is 400 km from here, so I don´t visit zoos as often as I´d like. But luckily here is relatively easy to find wildlife, so I focus my free time on it.
My main interests are cetaceans and birds, specially hummingbirds, birds-of-paradise, parrots and corvids. Among all the zoos I have visited, my favourite is probably the Weltvogelpark Walsrode.

And finally, as you´ll see, my English is far from be good, so I hope you can understand me without too much problems :)

Merintia, Welcome to Zoochat. It is nice to have you here and do not be to held back on the English. Yours is fine and certainly it is better than most folks Espanola!

You said you live in the North-East and have an interest in birds. I gather that must be close to the Pyrenean mountains .. Correct?

Thank you both :)

You are totally right Kifaru Bwana! Pyrenees are just two hours from my home. I go there few times along the year, is always a great place no matter if you are not lucky with interesting birds.

Hola! Forgive my Spanish por favor y gracias! ;-). Welcome to ZooChat. Your English is great. I look forward to reading about your wildlife observations from Spain. We have both wolves and brown bears in common, Spain and Alaska, yes?

Gracias Pleistohorse! :p
Alaska... A place I´d love to visit someday :)
You are right! Sadly, no wolves near to my area, and bears are very rare in Pyrenees, but their population is growing on other areas. Hopefully wolves will enlarge until here in few years.

Welcome Merintia I'm sure you will know your way around here by now:D and your English is great too.
