Hi, I'm a new user who just joined. I'm from near Oakland, California, grew up five minutes from the Oakland Zoo and still live really close to it. Went to zoo camp there as a kid and volunteered at the petting zoo when I was in high school in the late 2000's. I've always loved animals and zoos, my favorites being the large North American predators including the grizzly bear, gray wolf, and jaguar. Zoo Tycoon was one of my favorite PC games back in the day. After nearly a decade of not having the time to visit a zoo, I recent managed to visit Oakland's again, the Oregon Zoo, and the San Francisco Zoo all within a couple months and had a good time at all of them.
