hi guys im sean davey i bought an 8 acre small holding in cornwall last year and i have had a life long ambition to open a wildlife park in cornwall and i have a list of what animals im going to keep,ive already got a dwa and going to apply for zoo license soon but public liabilty is gonna be most expensive
the animals i already have are
0.2 pgymy goats
0.2 pot bellied pigs
0.5 rabbits
0.5 guinea pigs
1.5 buff orpington chickens
1.2 khaki cambell ducks
2.0 embden geese
1.2 turkeys
Bird section mostly indoor area in an old barn im converting
1.0 barn owl (outdoor aviary)
1.0 bengal eagle owl (outdoor aviary)
1.0 verreaux eagle owl (outdoor aviary)
1.0 african spotted eagle owl (outdoor aviary)

hi will post some pictures 2morow of my collection ill take some pics amd some of my building work that ive started,also with the sort of collection im wanting to keep what sort of admission price do you reckon i should charge,my sister going to open her own tea room in the park and pay rent so thats the refreshments sorted then im just gonna have to sort out a gift shop and admissions bit,
 
Pricing can be tricky. A zoo near me was free for awhile ago now its up to $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and $2 for kids. Although its higher if you aren't a resident of the area. They also have some of the larger animals such as Lions, Camels, Tigers, Snow Leopards. So I wouldn't go much higher than that, at least at first. What do they charge for zoological parks in your area?

also what i wanted to ask was i mite later apply to join biaza,do you know if you can buy penguins private or you have to be a biaza member as i dont see penguins private anywhere,i would like to incorporate some sort of penguin pool
 
Are you going to go with African Penguins? or some other species? They would probably be the easiest to house.
 
Hi! It must be really cool to finally open your own little zoo, congrats!
I just want to ask if you plan to find partners to your owls and your molluccan cockatoo?
Many owls are solitary, so even though they may be content alone it would be great if you could establish breeding pairs, and mollucan cockatoos are highly social and if they arent a pet being paid attention to almost 24/7 they sure do need a partner/friend to be happy :)

You can contact international zoo services, International Zoo Services Supply and relocation services of zoo-animals. and ask for their stock list, I don't think you need to be in BIAZA to order anything from them - but they are quite pricey.

thanks for the imput guys im gonna contact them also yes i think african penguin would be best for me,i reckon £7 entry for adults,£4 for children5-15,£4 oap,0-4 free,groups of 6 £5 each,careworker 1st one free any other£3 each disabled £5 each
 
Whereabouts in Cornwall are you based?

Your stock wish list seems a bit random, why 2 female Prarie dogs and raccoons etc?

Is it St Columb as in your Ebay listing? Some parts of Cornwall are much more frequented by visitors/tourists so it could be important for you.

Why do you want 2.3 (rather than 2.2) Red-breasted Geese?

Is it only me getting a feeling of deju vu over a new collection opening in Cornwall again that nobody has heard of including as far as i can find out none of the local councils in the county!!!
 
I remember when this happened before, and the only differences were that this time he supposedly had a collection of animals, and he typed up a want-list. It's probably the same person...
And of course he hasn't posted since.
Look at the want-list too. Why 2 female prairie dogs? And there are several more similar things on that list that make you wonder...
