Hi! I'm an author ( and general zoo nerd) who is currently working on a fiction piece where the characters go on a zoo road trip of sorts.
Have always loved zoos and animals - grew up going to Beardsley, and to a lesser extent Philly zoo. Currently am very close to the national zoo. Trying to get the energy to go again soon before the weather turns cold, and before the pandas come back so I can avoid the initial crowds.
Favorite animal is the seemingly more common red panda
I was super close to two zoos in the past couple years - but was unable to make time to go which still has me kicking myself
