Hello zoochat! A lot of people already know me but I never intruced myself!
My user name is Xavier GM, and know I'm studying medicine. As a very little kid I lived in SD and then moved to Spain, where I was there for a long time. Since I was little and didn't remember my visit to the SDZ, my love for zoos and their conservation work started there. My parents sing me up for a behind-the scene experience with dolphins and I even touch one of them, and tha was a magical experience! I lived at Spain until august of 2019 where I moved back to the U.S and imagine my reaction when I learn that the SDZ was "the best zoo in the world". After some time, I stumbled to zoochat! I entered in april and started writing. My first comment was on the media of the pandas at the SFZ, and that would tell how a chaotic creature I would become!
I loved the site from the beginning and still doit now!

I made a mistake on my introduction. I don't study medicine, I'm studying veterinary. I'm saying this to not cause any misinformation. Sorry for everything!

Welcome @Xavier GM -- when I first read your post, I thought you had lived in South Dakota (SD). However, I figured out from the rest of your post that you were from San Diego. It's somewhat confusing because in the U.S., states are known by their postal code initials, but not usually cities (except for L.A. and NYC). Anyway, have fun on ZooChat and good luck with your veterinary studies!

Thanks a lot! I've always heard that the first year of university is quite stressful, but I'm quite enjoying it a lot! Sorry for the confusion with the city. Because I always refer to the San Diego zoo as SDZ I didn't think that much, and referred the city like that.
 
I can't believe it's been 1 year here at zoochat...
I can't express with words the gratitude I have for this wonderful website, and it's incredible community, which has been so kind with me even tho I've not been an an exemplary user, and I've done bad things. I want to work hard to compensate what this website and the community has done for me. It's been woderful reading many incredible hard-worked threads put ut by many users, or just to read the various comments that can make you laugh and think.
I will nurrish my firts year here at zoochat, because all of my experience here, even the bad ones, have become part of my beautiful life.
