Hello everyone! My name is Ava. I've visited a number of threads on here so I figured I might as well make an account.
I've been very interested in zoology since I was young, I actually refused to read anything that wasn't non-fiction up until I was around 10 years old.
I am very interested in reptiles and have an ornate uromastyx (Uromastyx ornata) myself, over the next few years I plan to get a leachianus gecko, an argentine tegu and white's tree frogs (Rhacodactylus leachianus, Salvator merianae, Litoria caerulea) My dream reptile is a blue tree monitor (Varanus macraei) though I imagine that will be many years down the line.
I currently work at a small aquarium mainly working with reptile species. My favourite animal is one of our green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas). I will start working with african penguins (Spheniscus demersus) soon which is very exciting!
My dream job is working with big cats, specifically snow leopards (Panthera). I am interested in moving to the US to work with carnivores in the future.
I am excited to meet all of you!
