This is my first day here in ZooChat and I'm kind of excited about starting out! I came here because I love animals of all kinds and want to explore this site a bit more in depth. I hope to meet some of you and get acquainted after a while. Right now I'm just looking around to get my bearings! Have a wonderful day at the zoo! LOL

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! Its good to be here and learn more about zoos. I've always loved zoos and enjoy visiting them when I get a chance.:D

Welcome wildkitty. I have not tried the Chat section yet, but if people are always talking about Chester I don't think I'll bother as I'd only be rude about it.

Hello Parrotsandrew! I've only been here a few days and still "Learning the Ropes!" I couldnt follow the chat very much because they were talking about something I know nothing about! LOL I just watched them for a bit and have been exploring other parts of this site. I think its neat and I dont know much about zoos. I guess this is the place to learn! LOL:p

Hopefully so wildkitty :). I don't know much about computers so I have no idea how to post photographs etc :(. I just look at the discussion threads, but I'm enjoying the site and I hope you will continue to do so too.

looking around

Dont feel bad; I have NO idea how to post pictures myself; that is one thing I never learned on the computer! But I do enjoy doing all the reading and looking at photographs that others have put on. One of them was of the Minnesota Zoo and the Como Zoo, two of which I only live about 2 hours away from. Its been ages since I've been to any zoo and I would love to visit one of the above this summer IF I get the chance.:)

Oh good, I'm not the only one then! Today I asked a friend about posting photographs, I'll give it a go sometime. As I don't work on Fridays I have been to my small local zoo, Sewerby, this afternoon - it's only about a mile away from home. Hopefully I'll be getting further afield soon and I have booked my annual holiday for September when I visit a few zoos in south-west England. I hope you manage some zoo visits.

I'm glad you get to go abroad in September and visit some zoos. Be sure and take your camera! LOL Needless to say I hope to go to the zoos I mentioned sometime this summer. I love watching animals in their natural habitat and seeing how they react to the crowds of people standing around! I especially like the Big Cats and the wolves, and the exotic birds. I dont know much about zoos but they can teach you a lot about our wildlife! You're fortunate you have a zoo so close to home. That makes it nice to go whenever you wish. Have a good day (or night, depending on what time it is where you are).

@ wildkitty - greetings from a fellow big cat lover (and small wild cats too). I think you may be our first member from Wisconsin - at least you are the first one I have noticed. I have been on here about two years and have never been to the chat section (but I do know how to post photos in the gallery, which I do quite a bit).

FYI - Chester Zoo (England) is quite good - I was there less than a year ago.

Wellcome Wildkitty

@ parrotsandrew don`t worry if you came into the chatroom and were rude about Chester,I could be equally rude about Sewerby Hall or Flamingoland both of which I have visited,in fact have actually visited one of them and meet you there!!!!

So I'm the first one from Wisconsin huh? How about that? LOL Yes I'm an avid cat lover, both domestic and wild. I enjoy them and I especially admire the grace and the moving power of the cheetah. I just love watching them in motion on tv and how fast they can go. I think this is a really neat site to visit and I hope to do more looking around.

Be sure and take your camera!

Thank-you wildkitty, I have had a pleasant couple of days including another visit to the local zoo. I hope your days have been good. On my week away last year I took around 2500 photographs at the zoos I visited plus video footage. I don't think I could visit a zoo without my camera.:D

zoogiraffe, I'm usually rude about Flamingo Land these days!

Hi parrotsandrew! Wow over 2500 pictures! That is a lot! I'm hoping you can post some of them on here when you get the hang of posting on the computer. I had a good day today thank you. It is cold here for April and we might get some snow this week! UGH!! I hope you have a good week and I'll get more used to this site some more.:)

Hello wildkitty. I don't know if I'll ever learn how to post photographs, but I'll give it a try one day. Hope you don't get snow. The weather here has been good for quite a while with lots of sunshine, although there has been a cool sea breeze for the last two days - I'm happy to put up with that for the privilege of living on the coast. Have a good week too.:)
