I am at present doing a project on Dudley Zoo and am trying to find out the history of the animal collection
I have posted a simillar thread in the UK forum and have recieved quite alot of help but now I would be grateful if you could let me know of any animals in your local zoo's or zoo's you've visited that were breed at Dudley.
Or if you know any of the history of the animals breeding history or have any old zoo maps I would be extremely grateful for your halp

Already got the book it's great but gives little information about the breeding and actual history of the animals it's mainly about the buildings and castle there are bits about conservation but not much about the animal history.

It might help if you could ask specific questions- e.g. about particular species, or housing etc.

People on here might be able to give you some of the answers.

The Black bears are quite well documented- look on some of the other Dudley or Glasgow zoo threads and you should find some details.

Similarly the (present Sumatran) tigers- there are a number of references on them as there were exchanges with London zoo.
 
I have got the details of the present Tiger and Black bear but what I'm looking for is the breeding history of all the Tigers & Black bears they have had at the zoo since 1934. I know it's going to be a challenge but any help would be great
