is the reptile house still under rennovation? as when I went last I know that half of the exhibits were empty, mostly the amphibian exhibits, so as i plan a new trip I wanted to see if anyone knows if the animals have been put back on exhibit.

About half of the amphibian exhibits have animals in them, the other half are decorated fully but remain empty. All the other reptile exhibits have something in them.

On August 19th, it was announced that the zoo transferred a (0.1f) Coquerel's sifaka named Athena to Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina.

On August 29th, it was mentioned that the zoo transferred (2m.1f) pygmy marmosets named Paploo, Soda, and Teek to Minnesota Zoo in Minnesota*.

Also on September 19th, the zoo announced they named the eastern bongo Hamish.

Who’s New at the Houston Zoo, The Houston Zoo

On October 16th, the zoo announced they sexed the heron as (0.1f) and named it Minnow.

On December 1st, the zoo announced they moved the Humboldt penguins back on exhibit.
